Mount Vernon

Located near Alexandria, Virginia, Mount Vernon was the plantation home of the first President of the United States, George Washington. The mansion is built of wood in neoclassical Georgian architectural style, and the estate is located on the banks of the Potomac River.

George Washington was married with Martha D. Custis. There is now speculation that Washington was actually in love with the wife of one of his friends (Sally Fairfax) at the time that he and Martha became engaged. However, regardless of his feelings before the marriage, it is widely agreed that the partnership was mutually beneficial. Shortly after they were married, he left the colonial arm of the British military due to the British policy denying colonials command opportunities with the regular British army. They lived a prosperous and apparently happy life at Washington's Mount Vernon estate.
The remains of George and Martha Washington, as well as other family members, are entombed on the grounds.

Here I am! In the capital of USA, Washington DC. Founded on July 16, 1790 the City of Washington used to be a separate municipality within the District of Columbia. I am very excited to discover the live in this town.The District has three major natural flowing streams: the Potomac River, the Anacostia River, and Rock Creek. The Anacostia River and Rock Creek are tributaries of the Potomac River.
The architecture of Washington, D.C. varies greatly. Six of the top 10 buildings in the American Institute of Architects 2007 ranking of "America's Favorite Architecture" are located in the District of Columbia, including: the White House; the Washington National Cathedral; the Thomas Jefferson Memorial; the United States Capitol; the Lincoln Memorial; and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

Mont Tremblant

Mont Tremblant is a Quebec, "chic" resort for ski vacation. About one and a half hours north of Montreal. It is best known as a ski destination, but also features a lake suitable for swimming, and a golf course in the summer months. The summit of Mont Tremblant is at an elevation of 875 m, which makes it one of the tallest peaks in the Laurentians mountains.
