Nea Peramos, Greece

Nea Peramos is located at the beach of the bay of Eleftherai in the gulf of Kavala. Small village between the sea and the mountains. The water is excellent in summer, the weather is clear and the view reaches from the Thassos island up to the mountains of Athos at the peninsula Halkidiki.

Our accommodation was Hotel Plage. Nice and clean hotel not in the center of the village.

Ljubljana

Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia. It is the largest city in the country. For centuries, Ljubljana was the capital of the historical region of Carniola (Carniola formed part of the Roman province of Pannonia), and in the 20th century it became the cultural, scientific, economic, political and administrative centre of Slovenia, independent since 1991.
The origin of the city's name is unclear. The most scientifically acceptable hypothesis is that the city was named after the river Ljubljanica that flows through it.
Saint Nicholas Cathedral (Stolnica svetega Nikolaja) serves the Archidiocese of Ljubljana. Between 1701 and 1706, Jesuit architect Andrea Pozzo designed and built a new Baroque hall church with side chapels built to resemble a Latin cross. The Baroque frescoes was painted by Giulio Quaglio between 1703-1706 and later 1721-1723. It was a saturday chilly morning. And the central market in the center of the town was opened.

Anglican Church in Bucharest

The Anglican Church of Resurection of Bucharest is located near Gradina Icoanei. The land over which the church was built was given by the Bucharest Council to the British Crown before the first war. Building a church during the first war was a financial challenge. Helped by the HM Queen Maria, the romanian anglican community finished the building in 1914. All the bricks are coming from England.
Starting 1966 the church once again had a permanent priest.

A springtime walk

It's springtime! I was invited for a walk by the "Calea Victorie Foundation", in my childhood places, Parcul Ioanid. I remembered my old friends, frau Emmi or frau Dima. The Ioanid park has changed. It is not the same like I knew it...
